Flow State Original Acrylic Painting

I've been in an art fatigue for a few weeks, questioning myself on where I wanted to go with my artwork and how I could express myself. I, for the most part, am satisfied with how I draw faces and bodies in the cartoony/ anime like style I have, but I wasn't positive about how I wanted to use color. 

So, I sat on the sketch of this for a while. Debating on what I'd do with it. One night as I was watching gameplay of Silent Hill F, someone purchased a painting I was really proud of and that gave me reassurance. Reassurance that I am on the right path. I pulled out my acrylic paint markers, got myself a drink and while the video played in the background, I went to town allowing myself to sit with the joy, uncertainty, annoyance of "mistakes" and fear of not getting this feeling again, all until it all felt like a blur. The soundtrack of the game and its jump scares were unsettling yet, fun and it played heavily into how I placed each stroke.
