I will be honest; this will work best if you have an iPad since it's a larger size, but it can work on an iPhone if you really want a lightbox and can't afford to get one. You won't need an app; everything is in your settings!
Step 1: Open Your Settings App
Step 2: Go to “Accessibility”
- Scroll until you see “Guided Access.” Tap it!
Step 3: Turn On Guided Access
- Switch it on
- Set a passcode (you’ll need this to turn it off later)
- Turn on “Accessibility Shortcut”
- Set Auto-Lock to Never so your screen stays lit
Step 4: Add Guided Access to Your Control Center
- Swipe down from the top right corner of your screen
- Press and hold the screen
- Tap “Add a Control”
- Scroll and add “Guided Access”
Step 5: Turn It On!
- Open the image or file you want to trace
- Triple-click the side or home button (or tap it from your control center)
- When the Guided Access screen pops up, tap “Options”
- Turn OFF “Touch” so your screen won’t move while you’re tracing
- Turn it on and there you have it, a free lightbox!
